JCIE held the 4th Networking Conference, as part of the SYDRIS Initiative, to explore what kind of collaboration should be established with government and civil society organizations (CSOs) in order to promote projects that reflect the perspectives of the stakeholders, namely young people with foreign roots living in Japan and their families.

JCIE conducted a series of lunchtime webinars as a part of the Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society Program with the aim of deepening cooperation and understanding of the issues facing youths of foreign roots living in Japan. JCIE held its first networking Conference as a part of the Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society Program. About 30 participants from the eight organizations implementing the selected projects attended to deepen their understanding of the activities of each participating organization and the significance and network of the Diverse Roots, Inclusive Society program.

JCIE Announces Grantees for Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society Program

In the hopes of opening the doors to a brighter future for young people of foreign origins who are living in Japan, JCIE has launched a major grant program, Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society (YDRIS).

Diverse Roots, Inclusive Society Program

JCIE has launched the Diverse Roots, Inclusive Society initiative to build the social infrastructure needed to build a more inclusive Japanese society that can fully support youths with foreign roots. JCIE will act as a funding organization to provide grants that support the types of educational support, employment support, etc., that youths with foreign roots require.
