Berlin and Online

As part of the World Health Summit 2022, over 50 Japanese and German global health experts, politicians, and policy experts came together on October 19 for a hybrid event hosted at the Japanese-German Center Berlin (JDZB) to discuss key global health issues. This dialogue highlighted the lessons learned from Germany’s G7 presidency as well as the opportunities for bilateral cooperation as the baton is passed to Japan to host the G7 in 2023.

The event, titled “The Roles of Germany and Japan in Global Health,” was the fourth in its series, and was co-hosted by JCIE and JDZB in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Health of Germany and the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare of Japan as well as supported by the National Center for Global Health and Medicine (NCGM), the Tokyo Institute for Global Health Policy Research (iGHP), and the Hiroshima G7 Global Health Task Force.
