Navigating Change was prepared for the Japan-ASEAN Ministerial Meetings to propose ways in which strategic partnership between ASEAN and Japan can both contribute to a more stable and prosperous East Asia and help support more effective global governance. A joint effort of CSIS Jakarta and JCIE, this represents the culmination of a two-year study, ASEAN–Japan Strategic Partnership and Regional Community Buildingthat drew on many of the region’s brightest thinkers.
