Augus Li is a student at New York University, where he studies Politics with a minor in Economics. Augus joined JCIE as an intern in September of 2026, where he supports different initiatives, conducts JCIE program-related research, and assists with operational coordination across JCIE’s diverse portfolio of programs, supporting JCIE’s mission. Prior to JCIE, Augus was a Midshipman at the Naval Academy before transferring to NYU. Augus is passionate about U.S. policymaking, international law, geopolitics, trade, and strengthening U.S.–Japan relations. 

Augus is from Brooklyn, NY, and is currently pursuing a BA in Politics with a Minor in Economics at New York University. Augus is currently based in New York and looks forward to building his career in international law and economics.
