JCIE/USA Welcomes Glenn Osaka to Board of Trustees

JCIE/USA is pleased to announce that Mr. Glenn Osaka has joined our Board of Trustees as of February 2023. JCIE/USA Chair Peggy Blumenthal welcomed Glenn warmly to the Board, noting, “We are honored to have Glenn join the JCIE/USA board, bringing us his expertise in the high tech sector and deep commitment to the US-Japan relationship.  Glenn is a long-standing leader in the Asian American community, with deep experience in advising and leading businesses and nonprofits. We look forward to working with Glenn as we build toward JCIE/USA’s 50th anniversary next year.”

Glenn is an experienced Silicon Valley high technology executive. He has over 35 years of experience with organizations from the “seed” stage to Fortune 500 global operations.  His senior executive roles have included positions at Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, and as president and CEO of Reactivity, Inc., a technology startup acquired by Cisco.  He works on strategy, innovation, and customer experience with entrepreneurial organizations and technology researchers around the world. Glenn is the lead independent director for the Fundrise family of funds, including the Flagship Real Estate Fund, the Income Fund, and the Growth Technology Fund.  

Glenn has also been an active leader in the nonprofit community. He has served as president and member of the Board of Trustees for the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, California.  He was a board member for the Asian Pacific American Leadership Institute in the Santa Clara Valley, the Chair of the Board of AACI, a Federally Qualified Health Center, and the Chair of the Board of the Center for Asian American Media (CAAM).

Glenn holds a BA and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.  He was named as a Fellow by the Distinguished Careers Institute (DCI) at Stanford University in 2020.  He holds an FAA Private Pilot Certificate.
