Held in Seoul in November 29–30, 2009, the 15th APAP Forum brought the 2009 APAP project team together to discuss papers under the theme of “Regional Community Building and the Global Agenda: The Impact of Changing US Policy on the Emerging East Asia Community.” The first two sessions were devoted to examining the US perspective, including trends of American Asia policy as well as the evolving US approach toward community building in Asia. The next session focused on Northeast Asian, including Chinese, Korean, and Japanese perspectives on the US role in East Asia, and the final session focused on the Southeast Asian perspective on the US role in the Asian region.
