Starting in the 1980s with our UK-Japan dialogue, JCIE/Japan has been carrying out three annual bilateral dialogue series that address the leading domestic, bilateral, and international issues of the day. These dialogues bring together private sector, public sector, and civil society leaders from both countries with the goal of promoting sustained dialogue and cooperation between each pairing of countries. Through these ongoing Track 2 forums, we have contributed to building people-to-people connections that underpin and enhance bilateral ties.
