JCIE USA was pleased to host Hon. Yasuhisa Shiozaki, chair of JCIE’s Executive Committee on Global Health & Human Security and Japan’s former minister of health, labour & welfare, in Washington DC and New York to participate in a series of activities on global health and US-Japan relations. The activities were organized by JCIE USA and its partners on the occasion of Mr. Shiozaki’s participation in the 79th UN General Assembly’s High-Level Meeting on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).
In addition to meetings and discussions with leaders in the global health field from the public and private sector, Mr Shiozaki spoke at an event on AMR on the sidelines of the high-level meeting. In Washington, he also engaged with the broader community involved in US-Japan relations from a range of sectors, including at a private roundtable hosted by JCIE USA on the ruling Liberal Democratic Party’s leadership race.
