The 14th Japanese-German Forum was held in Tokyo from October 14–16, 2005. Thirty-seven participants gathered to discuss various issues on (1) Recent Socio-Political Developments in Japan and Germany; (2) Challenges of Global Governance and the Role of International Organizations, of Major Nations including Germany and Japan, and of NGOs; (3) Challenges Facing German and Japanese Corporations—Corporate Governance in Changing Domestic and Global Socio-Economic Environments; and (4) Growing Regional Interdependence in East Asia and Europe—Implications for Japanese-German Relations.
