In 2020, JCIE celebrates our 50th anniversary—a half century of working to  “serve as a catalyst for international dialogues that allow the world to better know Japan and allow Japan to better know the world.” 

To mark this important milestone, we have created a web page to reflect the legacy of our efforts in the field of citizen diplomacy.  On this commemorative page you will find a series of interviews conducted with a number of friends who have been involved in JCIE programs over the years. We will also be sharing a forthcoming study that looks at 50 years of US-Japan political exchanges.
