TADASHI YAMAMOTO MEMORIAL SEMINAR
2013–Present
Throughout his career, JCIE’s founder Tadashi Yamamoto made a special effort to engage both senior and emerging leaders from politics, government, civil society, and other walks of life in the type of substantive policy dialogue that builds the foundations for greater international cooperation.
To honor his legacy, JCIE and the Council on Foreign relations co-organized the inaugural Tadashi Yamamoto Memorial Seminar in May 2013, convening more than 50 Asia experts in Washington DC. Members of the Diet along with next-generation policy specialists from Japan were featured as guest speakers. The seminars have become an annual event, drawing on the strong policy networks of both organizations to produce highly productive discussions.
These seminars are made possible, in part, with support from donors to the Tadashi Yamamoto Memorial Fund. Find out how you can contribute.
