JCIE held its Third Russia-Japan Policy Dialogue on October 13–14, 2001, in Tokyo, where four Russian and six Japanese opinion leaders met to exchange views on a variety of issues. Meetings were also arranged for the Russian participants with a number of Japanese Diet members before and after the workshop so they could discuss politics and foreign relations, including the antiterrorism legislation under consideration in the Diet.
