The JCIE/USA Executive Roundtable is a private discussion series addressing key issues affecting the United States and Japan. The sessions feature leading perspectives from the United States and Japan and take place in an intimate, off-the-record setting where participants can gain insight, raise questions, and exchange ideas with one another. Participants include leaders from the private and public sectors, including our program partners, sponsors, and alumni, and a select group of experts and practitioners who help enrich the conversation.

ROUNDTABLE | The LDP Leadership Race & Implications for US-Japan Relations

JCIE/USA hosted a luncheon discussion on the Liberal Democratic Party’s (LDP) leadership race and its implications for US-Japan relations ahead of the upcoming US presidential election. The featured speaker was Mr. Yasuhisa Shiozaki, Japan’s Former Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare. The session was joined by Japanese business reps, academics, and those from DC-based think tanks.
