3rd US-Japan Global Health Dialogue | Strengthening Partnership on Global Health
The 3rd US-Japan Global Health Dialogue brought together nearly 50 senior government officials, legislators, health experts and leaders from international organizations to discuss what they can do together to advance health security around the world. Participants discussed international financing mechanisms for global health security, global pandemic preparedness, and the potential for cooperation on for biorisk and health emergencies.
1st General Meeting for the Humanitarian Aid to Marginalized Immigrants (HAMIS) Project
The first General Meeting of the Humanitarian Aid for Marginalized Immigrants (HAMIS) took place, a project launched by JCIE in partnership with the Japan Platform (JPF) to provide grants utilizing funds held in dormant bank accounts in Japan. Eight chosen organizations met to exchange information and to promote cooperation and collaboration in their work to support foreign residents living in Japan.

Lunchtime Webinars for the Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society Initiative
JCIE conducted a series of lunchtime webinars as a part of the Supporting Youths of Diverse Roots and an Inclusive Society Program with the aim of deepening cooperation and understanding of the issues facing youths of foreign roots living in Japan. The two lunch webinars were held with respective themes of educational support and professional support.
Trilateral Commission Special Global Meeting on Global Capitalism in Transition
The Trilateral Commission launched the Task Force on “Global Capitalism in Transition” in April 2021, consisting of 30 experts and Commission members from the three regions, and conducted a series of meetings by the Task Force members.

3rd GFF Seminar | The GFF’s Impact on the Ground—Case of the Nutrition Project in Cambodia

Tadashi Yamamoto Memorial Seminar | Japan’s Political Change and the US-Japan Alliance
The inaugural Tadashi Yamamoto Memorial Seminar, co-organized by the Council on Foreign Relations and JCIE, convened over 50 Asia experts to discuss the challenges that have kept Japanese politicians from projecting strong political leadership, their impact on foreign affairs, and the prospects for change under Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
