Korea-Japan Strategic Dialogue 2016
At a recent meeting of the Korea-Japan Forum, it was suggested that a smaller group of key opinion leaders be convened to examine the issues in greater depth. As a result, JCIE and the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) held the inaugural “Korea-Japan Strategic Dialogue” in Tokyo on June 8–10, 2016.
US-Japan-China Trilateral Conference
On January 6–8, 2008, nearly 30 senior policy experts from China, Japan, and the United States gathered in Beijing for the Fourth US-Japan-China Trilateral Conference.
Asia Pacific Regional Meeting on Innovative Partnerships for Health: Regional Solutions, Regional Opportunities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE) organized—in collaboration with the Japan Institute for Global Health and the Pacific Health Summit—a high-level meeting in Tokyo on October 24, 2011, to explore the role of innovative partnerships in improving health in Asia Pacific.
Korea-Japan Forum | 21st Meeting
The Korea-Japan Forum was initiated in November 1993 during a summit meeting between South Korean President Kim Young-sam and Japanese Prime Minister Morihiro Hosokawa where they called for the formation of a new, forward-looking relationship between the two countries. Since then, the forum has taken place annually and is held alternately in Korea and Japan.
Korea-Japan Forum | 22nd Meeting
The 22nd Korea-Japan Forum, co-organized by JCIE and the Korea Foundation, concluded on Saturday, August 9th, with the issuance of a joint statement that calls for the creation of a “new win-win relationship” that would promote peace and prosperity in the two countries and the region.
Rediscovering Common Bonds | Opening up Future Possibilities through Stage and Video
On November 24, 2014, the first seminar in the Rediscovering Common Bonds among Japan, China, and Korea series was held under the theme “Opening up Future Possibilities through Stage and Video.” The seminar invited the participation of Chinese, Japanese, and Korean artists and college students who have had experience working collaboratively to produce theatrical works and films.
