US-Japan Women Leaders Dialogue

JCIE held the first US-Japan Women Leaders Dialogue to convene top women leaders from varying walks of life in both countries, including four diet members of a Diet delegation traveling to the United States on JCIE’s Parliamentary Exchange Program, as well as Internal Affairs Minister Seiko Noda, the highest-ranking woman presently serving in the Japanese Cabinet.

Development of Web-based Platform on Aging in Asia for AHWIN

In light of Asia’s massive demographic shift, the Japanese government launched the Asia Health and Wellbeing Initiative (AHWIN) in 2016. Under the auspices of the Cabinet Secretariat of Japan, JCIE has worked with ERIA to launch the AHWIN website, which will serve as a platform for disseminating key data and resources on aging in Asia and sharing best practices to respond to this demographic shift.

CivilNet | Seminar Series by Buzz Schmidt, Chairman and CEO of GuideStar

Mr. Buzz Schmidt—Chairman and CEO of GuideStar—came to Japan as a guest of JCIE and held a seminar series from July 2–4, 2002 to discuss his organization’s activities with Japanese nonprofit sector leaders, politicians, government officials, and private sector leaders.

China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project | Washington DC Conference

The third workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Washington DC on July 10–11, 1998. The meeting, which included some of the members of the US study group, covered such topics as recent developments in the trilateral relationship and the implications of the Asian financial crisis and other international developments on China-Japan-US relations.

China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project | Tokyo Conference

A second workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Tokyo on June 21–22, 1997. The participants included young intellectual leaders from both China and Japan, as well as senior Chinese, Japanese, and US experts. The discussions focused on the Chinese perspectives of the roles of China, the United States, and Japan in Asia Pacific.
