Japanese-German Forum | 15th Forum

The 15th Japanese-German Forum was held in Berlin from October 12–14, 2006. Twenty-three participants gathered to discuss various issues including the regional situation in East Asia, energy security, common socio-economic challenges caused by aging populations, and meeting common challenges through innovation.

Japanese-German Forum | 14th Forum

The 14th Japanese-German Forum was held in Tokyo from October 14–16, 2005. Thirty-seven participants gathered to discuss various issues in Japanese-German relations.

International Cooperation by Local Governments in Europe

This project involved interviews with local and national government institutions in five European countries to ascertain the state of cooperation between local governments and NPOs in promoting cooperation with developing countries, the relationship between local governments and government funding agencies, and the ODA strategy toward local governments.

Japanese-German Forum | 13th Forum

The 13th Japanese-German Forum brought together 30 participants from diverse fields such as business, science, academic research, education, technology, sports, and the environment to discuss major issues in the German-Japanese relationship.

Japanese-German Forum | 12th Forum

The 12th Japanese-German Forum was held in Berlin on October 31, 2003. Approximately 20 participants gathered for discussions focusing mainly on the topics of structural reform in Germany and Japan and international relations after the Iraq war.

Japanese-German Forum | 11th Forum

The 11th Forum was held on March 5–7, 2003, in Berlin, where the participants discussed the obstacles to structural reform in Japan and Germany, new security challenges in East Asia, regionalism and bilateralism, and ways to cooperate with the United States in regards to the new challenges of global governance.

Japanese-German Forum | 10th Forum

The 10th Japanese-German Forum was held in Tokyo on February 2-4, 2002. More than 30 participants gathered to discuss major issues of concern to the two countries.

APPC Survey: Governance, Organizational Effectiveness and the Nonprofit Sector

The Asia Pacific Philanthropy Consortium (APPC) was launched in 1994 as an informal network of like-minded institutions that support the growth and development of Asian grantmaking philanthropies. JCIE served as the focal point within Japan for coordinating APPC activities in Japan. It has since been acquired by Give2Asia.

Japanese-German Forum | 9th Forum

The 9th Japanese-German Forum met in Berlin on February 3–5, 2001. The Forum organized five sessions, and discussed the impact of changes in the international environment and the prospects of two countries; the problems of the aging societies; and stronger relationship between two countries in the future.
