On April 6–14, 2002, JCIE helped organized a study mission to the United States that was sponsored by the Japan Association of Charitable Organizations (JACO), an organization established in 1972 to promote philanthropic activities in Japan.

The 9th East Asia-European Union Think Tank Dialogue was held in Tokyo, Japan on October 4–7, 2007, conferred under the theme, “Global Governance in the 21st Century: Common Challenges for East Asia & Europe.”
China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project | Washington DC Conference

The third workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Washington DC on July 10–11, 1998. The meeting, which included some of the members of the US study group, covered such topics as recent developments in the trilateral relationship and the implications of the Asian financial crisis and other international developments on China-Japan-US relations.
China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project | Tokyo Conference

A second workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Tokyo on June 21–22, 1997. The participants included young intellectual leaders from both China and Japan, as well as senior Chinese, Japanese, and US experts. The discussions focused on the Chinese perspectives of the roles of China, the United States, and Japan in Asia Pacific.

A fourth workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Kisarazu, Japan on October 16–17, 1999. The discussions focused on such issues as the domestic situations within China, Japan, and the United States and their implications for trilateral relations; the impact of international events on the trilateral relationship; and the future of trilateral cooperation.

The initial workshop of the China-Japan-US Research and Dialogue Project was held in Beijing in December 1996. The workshop sought to identify the critical issues in the trilateral relationship and to discuss the overall framework of this ambitious project, as well as the underlying domestic constraints.
APAP | Seoul Forum 2009

Held in Seoul on November 29–30, 2009, the 15th Forum brought the 2009 APAP project team together to discuss papers under the theme of “Regional Community Building and the Global Agenda: The Impact of Changing US Policy on the Emerging East Asia Community.”
