JCIE/FGFJ held a seminar in Tokyo on July 26, 2007, on the topic From Heiligendamm to Toyako—The Global Fund on the G8 Agenda, during which Dr. Michel Kazatchkine and Dr. Christoph Benn offered the audience an overview of the Global Fund’s work and its results so far and appealed to Japan to make sure that the momentum that started in Okinawa eight years ago is not lost over the coming years.
FGFJ | Journalist Delegation to Cambodia and Vietnam

From April 21 to 25, 2008, JCIE/FGFJ and the Global Fund led a delegation of five Japanese journalists from major national newspapers to Cambodia and Vietnam. The journalists visited a broad range of sites so that they could better understand the public health problems these countries face and the efforts on the ground to improve the situation.

On July 22 to 25, 2008, six members of the JCIE/FGFJ Diet Task Force visited Cambodia and Vietnam to speak with community leaders, aid workers and national policymakers working on AIDS, malaria, and tuberculosis and to visit treatment sites and communities dealing with these diseases.
Australia-Japan Young Political Leaders Exchange | 2000 Japanese Delegation to Australia

A multiparty delegation of seven Diet members traveled to Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, and Sydney under the Australia-Japan Young Political Leaders Exchange. Over the course of the visit, the delegation met with Australian leaders and executives of the various political parties to gain a more in-depth understanding of the party philosophies and structures.

In 2007, JCIE launched a study and dialogue project aimed at developing a deeper understanding of the complex dynamics of the China-Japan-US trilateral relationship. The project leaders held a series of planning meetings throughout the spring of 2007, and the first paper writers workshop was convened in Tokyo on October 14–16, 2007.
Korea-China-Japan Forum

The Korea-China-Japan Forum was held in November 2003 as a joint initiative of JCIE, the Korea Foundation, the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs, and the Japan Foundation Asia Center. This dialogue aimed to promote cooperation among the three countries in achieving stability in the Asia Pacific region and encouraging its further development.
Japanese-German Forum | 9th Forum

The 9th Japanese-German Forum met in Berlin on February 3–5, 2001. The Forum organized five sessions, and discussed the impact of changes in the international environment and the prospects of two countries; the problems of the aging societies; and stronger relationship between two countries in the future.
